Sewer Extension, Open Space & Lighted Fields At Westport P&Z Hearing

News release from the Town of Westport:

WESTPORT, CT — Planning & Zoning Deputy Director Amanda Trianovich has announced that on February 3, 2025 at 6:00pm, the Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to review three (3) applications that may be of public interest.

1. Kousidis Engineering, on behalf of the First Selectwoman, is seeking a report from the Planning and Zoning Commission pursuant to CGS §8-24, Municipal Improvement, to install a main line extension of the public sanitary sewer system to service 25 Ellery Lane.

2. Text Amendment #849 of the Zoning Regulations, to modify §40, Dedicated Open Space and Recreation District (DOSRD), to permit Adaptive Re-Use of existing buildings to multifamily use in which 100% will be affordable, as defined in CGS §8-30g, in the DOSRD #2.

3. Text Amendment #850 of the Zoning Regulations, to modify §32-19, Lighted Athletic Fields on Town Owned Public School Property, to expand the use of lighted athletic fields on town-owned school properties to accommodate winter activities, responding to warmer temperatures and reduced daylight hours.

The February 3, 2025 public hearing will be held remotely using Zoom, it will be livestreamed on the Town’s website at www.westportct.gov, and/or will be accessible on Optimum Government Access Channel 79, subject to availability. The remote meeting link is published on the meeting agenda available on the Town’s website on the “Meeting List and Calendar” web page.

Written comments may be submitted and should be sent to PandZ@westportct.gov by 12:00pm on the day of the meeting if intended to be distributed for consideration by members of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Written comments received after 12:00pm on the day of the meeting will be added to the record but not be distributed until the next business day.
