Suspect Arrested In Theft From Locker Room At Westport YMCA: Police
A Massachusetts man is accused of stealing credit cards from a locker, according to Westport police.

WESTPORT, CT — A 57-year-old Fitchburg, Massachusetts man was arrested on a warrant by Westport police this week in connection with a September 2019 theft from a locker room at the Westport Weston Family YMCA on Allen Raymond Lane, according to authorities.
Edward Capasso surrendered to police on Tuesday, and was charged with fourth-degree larceny, payment card theft and second-degree identity theft.
Westport police said that the case began on Sept. 25, 2019, when a person reported a theft from the locker room.

"The complainant reported that they had locked their valuables in a locker at the YMCA and when they returned, the locker was open, and the valuables were missing," wrote Westport Police Lt. Eric Woods in a statement. "The complainant reported that his credit cards were used in Norwalk, CT shortly after the theft."
Using surveillance footage and information shared from other police departments, Capasso was identified as the suspect.

Capasso was released after posting a $15,000 bond, and he is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on April 4.
