Elizabeth is exhibiting eleven original assemblage artworks. Elizabeth creates new art from old objects with a practice that enlivens history and questions the supposed border between the past and the present. She sees possibility in the discarded, weathered, and forgotten. A student and lover of history, Elizabeth uses her archivist sensibility to combine found antiquities into immersive, vibrant, miniature theaters. “In a disposable age, I reconfigure, repurpose, and compose well-worn and often utilitarian relics. With unknown yet imagined histories, these artifacts become pieces of nostalgic and puzzle-like compositions,” said Elizabeth.

Elizabeth works from her home studio in Westport, and regularly exhibits art in Fairfield County and surrounding areas. She is a member of the Board of the Artists Collective of Westport. Elizabeth holds a BFA from Washington University in St. Louis’ School of Fine Arts, and spent over a decade as an art director on Madison Avenue, primarily at BBDO. She has taught art in various locations in Fairfield County, and served for ten years as Education Director and Artist in Residence at the Westport Historical Society.
