Westport Book Shop Hosts 'Short Story Book Club' This Month

Stories by James Baldwin and Tennessee Williams will be discussed.

WESTPORT, CT — Join the Westport Book Shop's Short Story Book Club on Thursday, January 23rd at 6:00 pm at the Book Shop, 23 Jesup Road, when we'll discuss two stories of sibling relationships and self-discovery:

  • Sonny's Blues (1957) by James Baldwin, and
  • The Resemblance Between a Violin Case and a Coffin (1951) by Tennessee Williams

Registration is required, as space is limited.

Short on time but long in interest? The Westport Book Shop's Short Story Book Club meets at the Book Shop on the fourth Thursday of every month from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, to discuss another classic or contemporary short story. Each month's story selection is announced on or about the first of the month. Come to one session, some, or all – it's up to you! Registration each month is requested, as space is limited.
