Westport Dentist and Rotary President to Speak at Westport Rotary March 10

An announcement from Westport Rotary Club:

Longtime Westport dentist, Rotarian, and former Rotary Club president Dr. Peter M. Ferrara DDS will be the luncheon speaker at the March 10, 2015 meeting of the Westport Rotary Club.

The public is invited to attend this meeting which takes place from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m. at Branson Hall of Christ & Holy Trinity Church in Westport. The luncheon cost for guests is $20.

Dr. Peter Ferrara has been practicing dentistry in Westport for almost 35 years. A native of New York, he first came to Connecticut to attend Fairfield University.

After receiving his dentistry degree from Georgetown Dental School he joined the practice of 55-year Rotarian Dr. Robert Halloran, who served as Westport Rotary Club president in 1956 and died in 2006. Dr. Ferrara eventually took over the practice now located on Imperial Avenue in Westport. He has lived with his wife Chris in Fairfield since 1980 and has four grown daughters and a 2-year-old granddaughter.

In 2004 Dr. Ferrara was named president of the Westport Rotary Club for the Club’s important Centennial Year which marked the 100th anniversary of Rotary International. Since then he has continued to serve in many executive and service positions in the Club and for the Westport community.

At the March 15 luncheon speaker Dr. Ferrara will reflect on his 35 years in practice as a Westport dentist and 30 years as a Rotarian.

The public is always welcome to attend Rotary Club luncheon meetings which take place on Tuesdays from 12 to 1:30 pm. Luncheon cost is $20. The Club welcomes membership inquiries.
