Westport Teen Involved in Stealing Mother's Credit Card, Cash

The teen was released from custody after posting multiple bonds.

 

The 19-year-old teen turned himself in on two warrants Wednesday stemming from an incident in April where he accompanied another suspect who had stolen his mother’s credit card and used it at various places in the area, police said.

The teen also cashed a $500 check that the same suspect had stolen from his mother, according to police.

charged Salvatore Uscilla, of 158 Long Lots Road, with credit card theft (taking from another, false pretenses) and conspiracy to illegally use a credit card. 

Uscilla posted two surety bonds, one for $5,000 and another for $2,500. He was released from custody and is due in court July 19.
