9/11 Tribute, Child Care Registration, Library Story Time
Here is a snapshot of what's happening in and around Wilton that you might otherwise miss.

- Fire Fighters 9/11 Tribute at 10:00a.m. on Wednesday Sept. 11, 2013.
- Wilton Family YMCA is registering registering for the2013-2014 Afterschool Child Care Program (Grades K-7) Anyone interested in learning more about the after school child care programs is encouraged to stop by during the week between 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m., Monday through Thursday for tours and information.
- Wilton Library Story Time series for both 2-3 year olds and 3-4 year-olds starts Tuesday, Sept. 10.
- Terrific Tales for Twos and Threes Tuesday, Sept. 10 through Tuesday, Nov. 12, 10:15 – 10:45 a.m. Children and their caregivers will sing songs, listen to stories, and enjoy playtime together while building literacy and social skills. This program runs for 10 weeks. - Look, Listen and Learn Tuesday, Sept. 10 through Tuesday, Nov. 12, 11:00 – 11:30 a.m. For 3 and 4 years-olds with a caregiver. By interacting with stories, singing songs and acting out finger plays and rhymes, children in this program gain pre-reading skills and learn how to participate in a group setting. This program runs for 10 weeks.
- Monday, Sept. 9 - "Natural Solutions to Back Pain" - Healthy Living Lecture Series at Wilton Family YMCA Meeting House. 11:00am - 12:00noon
Over 65 million Americans are currently suffering from low back pain. Although most people take prescription medication for their pain, this only treats the symptom and not the cause. DId you know that 8 out of 10 people will experience serious lower back pain at some point in their lives?
In this workshop Dr. Twit will discuss the various causes of lower back pain along with natural solutions to addressing the pain.
PRESENTED BY DR.SHAN TWITDr. Shan Twit graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in Biology. Dr. Twit then attended the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA where he earned his doctorate in chiropractic in 2004. He then practiced with his father in WI until 2008 before working as an associate doctor for 18 months in the Milwaukee, WI area before deciding to move to CT. Dr. Twit then opened up Stamford Chiropractic & Rehab Center in Stamford, CT and has enjoyed being in practice as a Connecticut native since the fall of 2010. Dr. Twit just celebrated his 9th year in private practice

Every Monday night that P2P offices are open, they gather in the clothing center to weed through the bags and bags of items generously donated items. According to Rachel Reese of Volunteer Square, "One of the things we love about the event is that volunteers can see results right away."
