Man Arrested in Wilton Car Burglaries, Identity Theft: Police
He is the second man to be arrested in connection with two December car burglaries.

WILTON, CT — After two car burglaries were reported in December, a second man has been in connection with the robbery of credit cards and cash on Rivergate Drive and West Meadow Road. Michael Mallardi, 38, of Bristol was arrested on May 24 and was picked up in Middletown .
Mallardi was identified as one of the suspects of the break-ins after investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the alleged burglaries that happened on Rivergate Drive and West Meadow Road on Dec. 21 and 22. (To sign up for Wilton breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Investigators also found that a victim's credit cards had been used in Waterbury and Southington. Jay Crump Jr., 27, also of Bristol was arrested in March in connection with the thefts.

Mallardi was charged with two counts of larceny in the sixth degree, two counts of conspiracy to commit larceny, two counts of burglary in the third degree, two counts of conspiracy and identity theft.
He did not enter a plea at arraignment in Norwalk Superior Court and was released on a promise to appear, according to court records.
