Propane Truck Fire Closes Wilton Railroad Station Entrance
Wilton Police said Station Road detours are in place for the rest of the afternoon, possibly into the evening.

The entrance to Station Road will be blocked for an unknown period of time, after a propane delivery truck caught on fire at approximately 8:30 a.m. Dec. 24.
Wilton Police said the truck caught on fire at the intersection of Danbury Route (Route 7), near Station Road.
Access to the Wilton Railroad Station and Wilton Commons, 21 Station Rd., will be detoured until further notice.

To enter and exit the area, motorists will need to use the south entrance to the Wilton Railford Station, located south of Ridgefield Road (Route 33).
Police anticipate the detour to be in effect for approximately five hours.

“Please be mindful of the roadway restrictions of Danbury Road (Route 7) near Station Road,” police said.
