Wilton Police Issue Charges In Multiple Traffic Incidents

WILTON, CT – The Wilton Police Department responded to multiple incidents in early March, issuing charges related to impaired driving and traffic violations.
On March 8 at approximately 2:41 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a white Hyundai Elantra traveling northbound on Danbury Road at a high rate of speed. The driver, identified as Johnfrancis Deakin, 25, of Danbury, showed signs of impairment, according to police. Deakin admitted to consuming alcohol before driving and did not meet the standard for the standardized field sobriety tests. Chemical testing reportedly indicated blood alcohol levels of 0.134 and 0.130. In Connecticut, the legal blood alcohol content limit for driving is 0.08 percent for those 21 and older.
Deakin was charged with driving under the influence and speeding. He was released after posting bond and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on March 21.

On March 5 at approximately 8:13 p.m., police received a report of a black Porsche Cayenne driving erratically on Chestnut Hill Road. Officers located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Chestnut Hill Road and Westport Road. The driver, identified as Trusha Patel, 35, of Ridgefield, underwent an investigation that led officers to determine that impairment was a factor. Patel did not meet the standard for the standardized field sobriety tests, and chemical testing later showed a blood alcohol content of 0.335, according to police.
Patel was charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain the proper lane. She was released after posting bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 18.

Earlier that day, at approximately 1:05 a.m., officers stopped a silver Chevrolet Impala traveling northbound on Danbury Road at a high rate of speed. The driver, identified as Michael Dalessandro, 38, of Wilton, showed signs of impairment and admitted to consuming alcohol before driving, police said. Officers determined that Dalessandro did not meet the standard for the standardized field sobriety tests, and chemical testing showed blood alcohol levels of 0.188 and 0.186.
He was charged with driving under the influence and speeding, released after posting bond, and is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on March 19.
