Wilton Ranked Among Best Places To Live In Connecticut For 2025

WILTON, CT — Wilton has been named — twice — as one of the best places to live in the state of Connecticut in an annual ranking compiled by Niche.com.

The town was ranked 17th in the latest annual tabulation, released by Niche on Monday. Its Georgetown neighborhood came in at No. 56. This is the third year that Niche has broken out its ratings neighborhood-by-neighborhood.

Niche analysts once again named West Hartford the best place to live in Connecticut, in the 2025 edition.

Now in its 11th year, the ranking from the data-driven platform Niche is designed to help everyone from young people just starting their careers or families to retirees decide where they want to live. The report analyzes places of various sizes, including cities with populations of 100,000 or more, suburbs and neighborhoods.

Wilton scored an overall A+ grade, and its public schools and family life also garnered the maximum accolade. In the category of Health & Fitness, Wilton received an A. Jobs scored an A-, Housing and the Commute a B+ each, and Crime & Safety a B.

Niche analysts gave Georgetown an overall score of A, but especially liked the public schools, rating them A+. Family Friendliness, Outdoor Activities and Hea;th & Fitness all received an A.

The rankings are based on a wide range of public data sources, including the U.S. Census Bureau, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, combined with millions of resident reviews.

Niche said Community attributes considered in developing the list included the health of the local housing market, neighborhood diversity, area public schools and walkability, among others. (More on methodology.)
