Wilton Library's robotics team, Singularity Technology, wins top honors and heads to the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship in Houston.

WILTON, CT — Singularity Technology, the Wilton Library Association’s robotics team, won two major awards at the Connecticut FIRST Tech Challenge State Championship on Feb. 22, earning a spot at the upcoming world championship.

The team received the Inspire Award, the highest honor in the competition, which recognizes excellence in all judged categories and a commitment to the values of FIRST Robotics. Singularity Technology also earned the Navy STEM Award for completing 529 hours of school outreach as part of a larger effort totaling 1,328.5 outreach hours across five key areas, reaching 5,500 people in 10 countries.

With the FIRST Tech Challenge World Championship set for April in Houston, the team is seeking community support to help cover travel costs. Singularity Technology aims to raise $15,000 to supplement the Wilton Library’s robotics budget. Donations can be made online here.
