Wilton School Resource Officer Job Potentially On Chopping Block: Report
The town could be forced to re-examine the budget after the results of the pending state budget.

WILTON, CT — The district could be without one of it's two school resource officers could be cut depending on the state budget, reports the Norwalk Hour. Despite the position's inclusion in the final town budget, the town may need to re-examine the Board of Selectmen budget, according to First Selectman Lynne Vanderslice.
There are no guarantees on what would be cut if the town loses a significant amount of state municipal aid. If there are cuts, funding for the School Resource Officer position and local nonprofits would be among the first items to be re-examined.
