Wilton Seeks Requests for Proposals for Town Counsel
The attorney appointed for Wilton Town Counsel will work as an independent contractor and not an employee of the Town of Wilton.
WILTON, CT — The Town of Wilton is requesting proposals from qualified attorneys interested in serving as Town Counsel, an appointed officer of the Town. The appointed attorney will serve as the Chief Legal Officer of the Town and as general counsel to the Board of Selectmen.
The attorney appointed Town Counsel will work as an independent contractor and not an employee of the Town and will be responsible for all costs associated with maintaining their bar admission. The individual will provide legal services in the State and Federal Courts in Connecticut, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
In order to be considered, attorneys must send nine copies of the proposal in a sealed package by the First Selectman’s Office, Town of Wilton, 238 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT 06897 by 4:30 PM on Friday, September 2, 2016.
