Wilton Woman Accused of Leaving Young Children Home Alone: Police

Police say the woman is accused of leaving the children at home while she went out with a friend.

WILTON, CT — A Wilton woman is facing charges after police say she left her two young children at home alone. Kerry Peel, 39, of Danbury Road turned herself in on an arrest warrant Saturday, according to police.

She is accused of leaving the children at home alone while she went out with a friend. Peel told police that she left the children home with a neighbor, but police say that the neighbor denied the claim. To sign up for Wilton breaking news alerts and more, click here.

Peel was charged with two counts of risk of injury to a child. She was released from custody by police and did not enter a plea at arraignment on May 8. She is next due in court Tuesday.
