Cyber Sales: The Vintage Mail Craze

Much of the Windsor-related items sold on eBay are pieces of mail that have made their way through the postal service and then uncovered a century later.

The items bring another era to life as they are marked with vintage postage, including one-cent and two-cent George Washington stamps.

The items also offer a glimpse into the lives of those in early twentieth-century America.

One envelope represents correspondence between a Windsor resident and a "Miss Mary Phelps" of a Campbell School.

The letter is part of a package of letters being auctioned for $4.99.

Another envelope represents correspondence from New York City to a Dr. A. Morrison of Windsor. This correspondence took place in 1858, and is being auctioned off for just under $4.

You can also find correspondence from the 1890's, detailing business exchanges from "Rainbow," Connecticut and Windsor.
