Farmers' Market Brings Local Farms to Broad Street
The First Town Downtown Farmers' Market has a number of new additions this year, and includes three farms located in Windsor.
The First Town Downtown Farmers' Market is back, and it's better than ever. With thirteen regularly-appearing local farms and companies setting up shop each week, residents will be hard-pressed not to find what they're looking for when it comes to fresh produce this summer. This year's market includes everything from freshly-baked breads to cheeses, goat's milk, garlic and organic seasonal produce.
The market will appear at 240 Broad Street (the parking lot next to ) each Thursday (including today) from 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. through the fall.

Farms of Southern New England (located in Windsor): seasonal produce
Forgotten Acres Farm of Windsor: honey and beeswax products
of Windsor: freshly-baked goods, including cookies and muffins
Newgate Farms of Windsor: seasonal produce, baked goods and flowers
Stefan Farms of Windsor: fresh produce
Rose's Berry Farm of Glastonbury: fresh produce
Scantic Valley Farm of Somers: all-natural, grass-fed beef, heritage pork, farm-fresh eggs and pick-your-own strawberries
Sweet Pea Cheese of North Granby:cow's and goat's milk, yogurt and, of course, cheese
The Garlic Farm of West Granby: a variety of organic produce and garlic
Walter Murkowicz of Windsor Locks: seasonal produce
Autumn Oak Farms of Tolland: fresh produce, eggs, soaps, salsa, pickles and relishes
Belnottie Bakery of Stamford: fresh baked bread, homemade pesto and fresh mozzarella cheese
