Windsor Announces New Assistant Superintendent

Robin Sorensen will be retiring from Windsor, Windsor Public Schools say.

Windsor Public Schools announced Wednesday they have selected Groton's Mary Anne Butler to be its new assistant superintendent of instructional services. Current assistant superintendent Robin Sorensen, Windsor Public Schools officials said, will be retiring from Windsor.

The Board of Education voted unanimously to select Butler, who will begin working in town on July 1.

“Mary Anne will bring her strong interpersonal and collaborative skills and the precise skill set that is required for the position," said Windsor Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey Villar, who worked with Butler "some time ago when I was collaborating with the State Department of Education."
