Sills Honored for Support of Armed Services
The Windsor High principal was given the Patriot Award.
Windsor High Principal Russell Sills received the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award Friday night.
The award recognizes employers for their support of employees in the United States National Guard and Reserve.
Sills was nominated by Windsor High band director and music teacher Steven Ortiz who is the commander and conductor of the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast a second lieutenant in the Massachusetts Air National Guard.

Sills was presented a certificate by Connecticut National Guard Master Sergeant Larry Ireland during Friday night's basketball game.
