Special Election Set for Probate Judge
A special election has been called to elect an official who will complete the term of the late Judge Brian Griffin.

A special election has been scheduled for residents to elect a probate judge to complete the term of the late Judge Brian Griffin, who passed away suddenly at the age of 57 in February.
The election will be held on Tues., August 21.
A primary has been set for Tues., June 26.

Over the past few weeks, a number of candidates have announced their hopes of receiving the democratic party's nomination and running for the seat, which operates out of South Windsor.

Candidates include Windsor resident Jim Welsh, as well as Keith Yagaloff and Kevin McCann, both of South Windsor.
McCann is the sole republican candidate vying for the seat.
