Windsor Dominates at New England Track Championships
A number of individual Warriors placed first in the recent New England Track Championships in Saco, Maine.
Having won five indoor and outdoor track Class L team championships in the past two years, Windsor continued to prove its athletic prowess in Saco, Maine at the recent New England Interscholastic Track and Field Championships, churning out a number of top performances.
Leading the way were sprinters Sydnee Over and Daniel Jamieson.
Over, who is just a junior, anchored the Warriors' 4x400 relay team to a first place finish time of 3:51.44. In addition to Over, the relay team included Courtney Kearse, Medinah Nabadduka and Vanessa Harris.

Over also took home first in the 800 meters (watch interview here), completing the race just 0.07 seconds off the meet record.
Daniel Jamieson, hot off a spectacular performance in the Class L championship, took first in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.47 seconds (watch interview here), and the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.17 seconds. He also contributed to the boys' 4x100 relay finish in first. That team also included Sherrod Peay, Tikuan Johnson and Brian Sappleton.

The boys also set a New England meet record with their first-place time in the 4x400 relay. Rashsad Ramsey, Kahlin Bolen, Dwight Meggie and Sappleton finished with a time of 3:17.97.
Northwest Catholic's Brian Poirier, a Windsor resident, also went home with a first place finish. He took first in the 800-meter run, completing it with a time of 1:55.13 (watch interview here).
