Women's Volunteerism During the Civil War; March 22 @ Windsor Historical Society

At 7 p.m. Thursday, guest curator of costumes and textiles at the Wadsworth Atheneum will present a lecture on the textile work of women from the North and South during the Civil War. 

Cost for this program is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, and $4 for members. The program will begin at 7 p.m.

The Windsor Jesters Present 'The Odd Couple;' March 23-24

The Windsor Jesters will present two weekends of laughs on the stage at L.P. Wilson when the curtain opens for "The Odd Couple (Female Version)."

Shows are March 23-31 at 8 p.m., including a 1 p.m. show on March 24, at L.P. Wilson. Tickets purchased prior to the show cost $12 for adults, $10 for students and seniors. At the door, tickets cost $15 for adults and $12 for seniors and students.

Yo-Yo Daredevil

Yo-yo expert and instructor Eric Girardi is set to put on a performance of gravity-bending yo-yo tricks for yo-yo enthusiasts and children to enjoy. Visit www.bendinggravity.com for a preview.

This program will be held at the Wilson Branch Libary, and is free. It will begin at 1 p.m.

Annual Pancake Breakfast; March 24 @ Northwest Park

The Friends of Northwest Park are inviting you to joing them Saturday morning for their annual fundraising Pancake Breakfast in the Warming Shed. Pancakes will be served, of course, and will be accompanied by sausage and 100-percent pure maple syrup that's made right in Northwest Park.

A childrens identification program, sponsored by Mason Lodge No. 70, will also be held at the Nature Center form 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Admission for the pancake breakfast costs $5 for adults, $4 for children. 

Bowling for Shad; March 25 @ Bradley Bowl

Families are invited to Bradley Bowl in Windsor Locks to support the Shad Derby with an afternoon of bowling. All proceeds will benefit the Shad Derby.
