Amy Gallatin & Stillwaters Play Art Center; March 1 at the Windsor Art Center

This country quarter armed with bluegrass instruments is just off a European tour and is stopping by the Windsor Art Center Thurs., March 1 for a two-hour set of classic country duets.

This show begins at 6:30 p.m. and will go until 8:30 p.m. A suggested donation of $10 will be accepted at the door.

Slavery: Stories of Survival; March 3 @ the Historical Society

This event is a part of the Historical Society's two-year tribute to the Civil War, made possible through a grant from the Connecticut Humanities Council. Performer Gwendoyn Quezaire-Presutti will present Stories of Survival, detailing the lives of African slaves and how they endured their enslavement from the Middle Passage to the daily experiences in the Americas.

This performance is targeted for ages 10 and up. The performance will begin  at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, and $4 for members. Contact the Society by calling 860-688-3813 or visit www.windsorhistoricalsociety.org for moor information.

Guy Davis Plays Coffeehouse Set; March 3 @ Northwest Park

Guy Davis is set to pass through town Saturday evening for a night of acoustic blues. Davis will play a variety of tunes including traditional and contemporary blues. His latest album, Legacy, was chosen as one of National Public Radio's best CDs of the year.

This show will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20 and are available for purchase through Northwest Park's website.
