Windsor Resident Wins Dream Lottery Prize

WINDSOR, CT -Scratching off the Mega Multiplier ticket's barcode, Chris Wujek of Windsor checked it with a ticket checker and got a message he'd never seen before.

Thinking he might have won the game's $100,000 prize, Chris handed the store owner of Deerfield Package Store in Windsor his ticket to scan with the lottery terminal.

After a moment, Chris heard the owner say, "You didn't win $100,000, but you won $1,000,000!"

Instead of choosing the game's $1,000,000 annuity prize, Chris claimed the $785,000 cash option.

"I've been wanting a Corvette, so next summer we'll be getting a nice new toy and taking a vacation to Puerto Rico or Aruba," Wujek said. "We haven't been on a vacation in five years."
