District 15 Cross Country Coach Wins Ironman
Kathi Peck won the Ironman for her age category, which was ages 65 through 69.

Memorial Middle School cross country coach Kathi Peck won the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship on Aug. 30 in Austria for her gender and age category, which was ages 65 through 69, according to a press release. This was the first time the world championship was held in Europe.
Peck completed the 1.9km (1.2 miles) swim in 36 minutes and 41 seconds, the 90km (56 miles) bike ride in 3 hours, 17 minutes and 30 seconds, and the 21km (13.1 miles) run in 2 hours, 19 minutes and 30 seconds, the release says. She finished the triathlon in 6 hours, 29 minutes, and 25 seconds.
