Serious Injury Accident Shuts Down I-84 In Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY, CT — I-84 westbound between Exit 17 and Exit 16, in Middlebury, is shut down for a motor vehicle accident, according to state police.

Serious injuries were reported and at least one patient was transported to the hospital, WTNH News-8 reported.

The wreck occurred on I-84 eastbound. One lane eastbound near Exit 16 is shut down, and westbound at Exit 17 is shut down, according to WTNH-News 8.

Drivers should seek alternate routes.
