"It's a Wonderful Life" Day Features Carriage Rides, Movie Screening

The 3rd annual "It's a Wonderful Life" day will take place in downtown Seymour and feature carolers and breakfast with Santa.

Downtown Seymour’s 3rd annual ”It’s a Wonderful Life” Day will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 5.

Festivities include:

  • The transforming of local businesses into locales from the film
  • Breakfast with Santa
  • Horse drawn carriage rides through the downtown district
  • Strolling carolers
  • Country Christmas Dinner at the General Store
  • Live holiday piano by renowned local jazz artist, Joe McWilliams
  • Bells ringing throughout the day to grant angels’ wings
  • Surprise runnings of George Bailey through town shouting “Merry Christmas, Bedford Falls!”

Events continue throughout the day and culminate with a screening of the classic holiday film on the big screen at the historic Strand Theatre, 165 Main St., Seymour.
