Middlebury Elementary 'Stuffs The Bus' For Food Drive
The PTO, First Student and Cub Scout groups are teaming up to benefit Middlebury Food Bank.

The goal: to fill an entire school bus with non-perishable food items that will be delivered to the Middlebury Food Bank and distributed to those in need in the local community.

On November 20 from 11 to noon at Middlebury Elementary School, the Middlebury Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) will be holding a drive-through “Stuff the Bus—Give Thanks Food Drive.”
The PTO is partnering with the First Student bus company, Middlebury Elementary School and Middlebury Pack 6 Cub Scouts for the food drive.

“We reached out to First Student to see if they’d be interested in helping us again this year, and, without hesitation, they said they’d be happy to provide a school bus for the food drive,” said Michele Dunn, Middlebury Elementary School PTO President. “We’re all looking forward to helping our local food bank, and we’re inviting the entire community to come take part in this drive-through event.”
Items needed for the “Stuff the Bus—Give Thanks Food Drive” include pancake mix, syrup, peanut butter, canned tuna, soups (chicken and vegetable), canned vegetables, rice boxes or bags, cranberry sauce, macaroni and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, instant Jello, instant pudding, cake or cookie mix and frosting.
Cash or gift cards will also be accepted.
