Middlebury Releases Information On Street Sweeping Impacts

The Department of Public Works will begin the annual street sweeping program later this month, and the town is offering advice to residents.

MIDDLEBURY, CT — The town of Middlebury will begin its street sweeping program at the end of the month.

The town posted the following information on its Facebook page:

The Department of Public Works will begin the annual street sweeping program on Monday, March 31st (weather permitting). Street sweeping will begin on the east side of town with the roads that intersect with Route 53 and proceed through town in a westerly direction. This process is estimated to take approximately 15 working days to complete.

Residents are strongly urged to refrain from on-street parking until their street has been swept. To avoid endangering themselves or DPW workers, drivers are asked to reduce travel speed and use caution when passing the street sweeping operations.
