Middlebury Shelter To Close; All Dogs Up For Adoption
Brass City Rescue Alliance announced it will be closing and that every dog will need to be adopted or in foster care within a month.

MIDDLEBURY, CT — Brass City Rescue Alliance in Middlebury has announced it will be closing until May of 2023. The shelter said that it will need every dog to be adopted or in foster care within a month.
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce our doors are closing until further notice," Brass City Rescue Alliance posted on Facebook. "Due to medical circumstances out of our control, we have no other choice and need to do what is best for the dogs. We expect to resume operations by May 1, 2023. We ask that you take a moment to remember that the most innocent and helpless among us are in desperate need for a home. This is an emergency plea for help.
"Every dog at our shelter needs to be adopted (or in foster care) within a month. We desperately need the community to come and adopt these dogs."
