Middlebury Woman Charged with Child Abuse

Middlebury Police arrested Marie Campbell, 25 years old, of Middlebury on child abuse charges stemming back to July.

According to the police report, a referral from the CT Department of Children and Families prompted a “complex” police investigation that concluded in Campbell’s arrest. She is charged with second degree assault, as well as risk of injury to a minor.

All children have been removed from the home and placed in DCF’s care.

Campbell was set to appear in Waterbury Superior Court this morning, after being released on $2500 bond.
