Middlebury Woman Killed When Car Strikes Tractor-Trailer: Report

MIDDLEBURY, CT — A Middlebury woman was killed in a Wednesday morning crash when her car collided with a tractor-trailer on I-84 eastbound in East Hartford, FOX 61 reported. Nicole Gabelman, 32, of Middlebury, was driving in the left lane near the Exit 56 ramp.

State police said Gabelman lost control of her car for an unknown reason and veered across the highway into the right lane. Her car then struck a tractor-trailer parked on the highway's right shoulder, according to FOX 61.

Gabelman was pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured.
