Nonnewaug Chiefs Dominate Wilcox/Kaynor, Stay Undefeated

The Nonnewaug co-op football team delivered a powerful performance on Saturday, crushing Wilcox/Kaynor with a decisive 43-12 victory to push their remarkable start to 3-0.

The Chiefs' offense was explosive, fueled by a stellar outing from Davion Joe. Joe was a force on the ground, racking up 142 rushing yards and scoring two touchdowns, then adding a third on a 20-yard reception through the air.

Quarterback Brady Herman was sharp, completing 10 of 13 passes for 141 yards and firing off three touchdowns. One of his primary targets, Derek Chung, hauled in three passes for 61 yards and found the end zone twice with two touchdowns.

Kicker Robert Metcalfe contributed to the impressive point total with a successful 32-yard field goal.

The commanding win not only kept Nonnewaug perfect but also cemented their place as the second-ranked team in Class SS.

The undefeated Chiefs will look to keep their winning streak alive when they host Amistad of New Haven this Friday night.
