Region 14 School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Region 14 is August 30. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Region 14 School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 11/10: Veterans’ Day – Schools Closed

• 11/23-24: Thanksgiving – Schools Closed

December

• 12/22: Early Dismissal
• 12/25-1/2: WinterBreak – Schools Closed

January

• 1/12: Early Dismissal – Teacher Prof Learning
• 1/15: MLK, Jr. Day – Schools Closed

February

• 2/16: Teachers’ Professional Learning Day - Schools Closed
• 2/19-20: February Break – Schools Closed

March

• 3/30: Good Friday – Schools Closed
