Region 15 Elementary Schools Compete for Book Bowl Title
Region 15 students will participate in the first-ever Book Bowl Competition at the Southbury Public Library.

Student teams from Region 15 elementary schools will be participating in the first-ever Region 15 Book Bowl Competition at the Southbury Public Library on Wednesday, June 10 at 6 p.m.
This week, Gainfield Elementary School’s library media specialist Christine Parker, Pomperaug Elementary’s Jane Martellino, Middlebury Elementary’s Stephanie Robinson, and Long Meadow’s Christina O’Neill will host in-school competitions. The winning team from the school-based events will then represent its school to compete against the other schools at the town library for the Book Bowl title.
“The Book Bowl Competition is modeled after the contest that we have hosted at Gainfield for three years running,” GES Library Media Specialist Christine Parker said. “Our schools are collaborating now more than ever and this is a fun and educational way to celebrate reading together.”
