Smiley's Last Chance

He's been at the Wolcott Animal Shelter for almost a year, and he's about to be put down if an angel doesn't step up and adopt him.

Smiley got his name for his propensity to break into a grin, but lately he doesn't have much to smile about.

That's because Smiley's days are numbered. If he doesn't find a home soon -- like immediately -- he's going to be euthanized because he's been at the Wolcott Dog Pound for almost a year with no takers.

Smiley's got some special needs -- he doesn't get along with other dogs and some people. He needs to be an only dog and would do best with a female owner. He'll also need some professional training. But with the right help, he'll make a fine companion.

If you think you can save Smiley's life, contact the Wolcott Dog Pound as soon as possible at (203) 879-7620.
