Transformer Fire Leads To School Closure, Early Dismissal In Woodbury

WOODBURY, CT — A transformer fire has led to a school closure and early dismissal in Woodbury on Wednesday morning, according to WFSB 3.

Mitchell Elementary School is closed Wednesday, Dec. 11, and Woodbury Middle School had an emergency dismissal at 8:30 a.m., according to a post on the Region 14 school district’s website.

Officials said Nonnewaug High School has power in most of the building and will dismiss at its regular time. Bethlehem Elementary School had full power as of Wednesday morning, according to officials.
