The CAS High School Arts Awards annually honors two outstanding seniors from each of the member schools in the state who excel in the performing or visual arts. Excelling in the performing or visual arts is of primary importance in the selection. Scholarship and leadership are also supporting criteria.

“Nokomis Leaman-Logsdon ranks in the top ten percent of theatre students,” Paul Doniger, PHS Theatre teacher, said. “Her work for Pomperaug Theatre has been exemplary. When she is on stage, she never stops working on refining her character.”

PHS Art teacher Florin Firimita felt that Bridget Dorsey’s selection for the honor was due to her creative thinking, willingness to take creative risks, and originality, based on the entire body of work she created this year.
