Woodbury Road Closed Due To 2-Vehicle Crash, Power Lines Down [UPDATE]

State police said a Woodbury road is likely to be closed for a few hours following a crash Thursday morning. A detour is in place.

WOODBURY, CT — Route 6 is closed at 716 N. Main St. in Woodbury on Thursday morning.

The road was reported closed at 11:02 a.m. due to a two-vehicle crash with wires down, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

The Woodbury Resident State Trooper posted the following on Facebook:

"Route 6 is closed at the Charcoal Chef due to a MVA with wires across the road. Please use Minortown Rd as a detour around. Likely will be closed for a couple hours or more."
