The 21st Annual Taste of Georgetown Offers Food, Drinks, and Live Music

This event helps Georgetown's efforts to help the homeless.

The 21st annual Taste of Georgetown this weekend will bring sweet and savory treats, wine and beer, live music, and more. The outdoor festival will take place between noon and 5 p.m. Saturday in Georgetown on K Street between Wisconsin Avenue and Thomas Jefferson Street.

More than 35 Georgetown restaurants, not including other local merchants, will feature their food and drinks. Guests can expect an Iron Chef-style cook-off and a cupcake eating contest. There will be kid-friendly activities like bocce ball.

Taste of Georgetown has raised more than $120,000 to date for Georgetown Ministry Center to help the homeless.

Admission is free. Food tasting tickets are $5 for one tasting and $20 for five tastings if purchased online presale. One tasting is $5 at the event. Craft Beer and Wine Pavilion tasting tickets are $10 for three tastings if purchased online presale. One beer and wine tasting for $4 can be purchased at the festival.

There will be live music with country and bluegrass curated by Gypsy Sally’s. After the event, multiple restaurants in Georgetown will partake in After Taste Happy Hour by offering specials.
