Armed Robbery at Georgetown 7-11 on P Street NW

A local convenience store was robbed early Wednesday morning.

It was reported that the armed suspect robbed 7-11, 2617 P Street NW, at 5:13 a.m.

The suspect is pictured above wearing a black hood, light jeans, and black shoes.

Anyone with any information on the case or suspect should contact the police immediately.

The Metropolitan Police Department advises residents to take the following precautions to reduce the chance of being the victim of a crime:

• Always be aware of your surroundings
• Do not be distracted by your cell phone, music, reading, etc.
• Avoid traveling alone, especially at night
• Do not openly display electronics
• Use ATMs during the day in well-populated areas.
