Kayakers discovered the body of an adult male near the Key Bridge Wednesday afternoon.

District officials say the body of a person was pulled from the Potomac River near Georgetown.

The body was discovered Wednesday shortly after noon by kayakers who were on the water about 400 yards west of the Key Bridge, according to DC police.

This is the fourth body pulled from DC-area waters in the past 17 days, The Washington Post reported, but none of the incidents appear to be related.
