Body Found In Potomac River Near Key Bridge

GEORGETOWN, DC — A body was found in the Georgetown area of the Potomac River on July 4th, authorities said.

The incident happened around 7 a.m. north of Key Bridge Boathouse, DC Fire & EMS officials said.

WTOP reports the unidentified man was recovered from the river with a gash on his forehead. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police and firefighters are investigating.
