CEO of Apple Makes Surprise Appearance in Georgetown

Tim Cook visited the Apple Store in support of World AIDS Day on Monday.

Employees at the Georgetown Apple Store got a major surprise when the CEO of the international company walked through the door.

As part of Apple’s continuous support for World AIDS Day, CEO Tim Cook visited the local store.

The CEO of (RED), an organization that gets businesses involved in the fight against AIDS, Deborah Dugan joined Cook at the Apple store.

Cook posted two pictures on Twitter and said that it was “Great to visit in Georgetown.” Dugan tweeted two photos as well as expressed gratitude for the $75 million Apple has raised for the cause so far.

From Nov. 24 to Dec. 7, 100 percent of any (PRODUCT)RED apps and in-app items that are purchased will be given to the Global Fund to fight AIDS. For every (PRODUCT)RED iTunes Gift Card that is purchased, a donation with be given to the cause.
