Christmas Weather in D.C.: Rain Clears for a Windy Holiday

No one will mistake D.C. for the North Pole this year.

Although northern states may experience snow, meteorologists are not predicting a white Christmas in D.C.

A high of 51 degrees and 10 to 20 mph winds are expected on Christmas Eve along with a 60 percent chance of rain, the National Weather Service reports.

Skies will clear by Wednesday night which leads to a high of 48 degrees and 20 to 30 mph winds on Christmas Day. Temperatures will hit the freezing mark at 32 degrees as the holiday ends Thursday night, according to The Weather Channel.
