Concert for Valor: Admission Info, List of Performers, and Traffic and Metro Impacts

Up to 800,000 people expected at the celebrity filled concert.

In honor of the brave men and women who keep the U.S. safe, HBO, Starbucks, and Chase will present The Concert For Valor at the National Mall located between the Capitol and Washington Monument.

Admission is free and tickets are given on a first-come, first-served basis. The National Mall will open to concert goers beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Police are preparing for up to 800,000 people at the celebrity filled concert, which is more than the typical annual D.C. 4th of July fireworks.

Going to the concert? Be aware of street closings and extended metro schedule along with the following things to remember:

  • Smoking and alcohol is prohibited
  • The show is wheelchair and handicap accessible
  • All guests are subject to a security screening
  • Hard shell coolers, balloons, bicycles, and animals, except guide dogs, are prohibited
