D.C. Mayoral Election Results: We Have A Winner
Voters will choose a new mayor along with other District representatives Nov. 4.

Democrat Muriel Bowser was projected Tuesday night to become the next mayor of Washington, DC.
With 80 percent of the vote counted, Bowser had nearly 59 percent of the vote, leading Independent David Catania, who was at 35 percent.

- Bruce Majors: Libertarian
- Faith: DC Statehood Green
Bowser beat current Mayor Vincent C. Gray in the primary election in April.

- Initiative 71 - “Legalization of Possession of Minimal Amounts of Marijuana for Personal Use Act of 2014”
