What's open and what's closed?

With fresh snow on the ground and the National Weather Service's wind-chill advisory continuing until noon, it's another snow day for District schools.

But most everyone else has to go to work with two-hour delays and optional leave. 

Temperatures will be in the teens and wind-chill temperatures as low as eight degrees below zero, NWS said. 

Here's what's open and what's closed:

  • The Federal government is open with an optional two-hour delay and unscheduled leave or telework. 
  • The District of Columbia government is open with a two-hour delay and liberal leave. 
According to WTOP, the following government agencies will be operating on a delay:

  • DC Courts (open at 10 a.m.)
  • DC DMV (open at 10:15 a.m. All road tests and ticket hearings will be rescheduled)
  • DC Public Library (open at 11:30 a.m., employees arrive at 11 a.m.)
  • The Georgetown Public Library is closed. 
  • DC Housing Authority (two-hour delay)
  • DC Housing Finance Agency (two-hour delay)

School Closures:

District of Columbia Public Schools announced they are closed for Wednesday. 

According to WTOP, the following charter and private schools are also closed:

  • Capitol City Public Charter School
  • Center City Public Charter Schools
  • DC Prep
  • Mundo Verde Bilingual Public Charter School
  • Community Academy Public Charter School
  • Excel Academy Public Charter School 
  • KIPP DC
  • YouthBuild Public Charter School 
  • Washington Latin Public Charter School
  • Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School
  • Georgetown Day School 
  • The Lab School of Washington
  • St. Albans School 
  • St. Patrick's Episcopal Day School 
  • National Cathedral School
  • Beauvior National Cathedral Elementary School
  • National Presbyterian School 
  • Capitol Hill Day School 
  • Edmund Burke School 
  • Naylor School 
  • Aidan Montessori School
  • Archbishop Carroll High School
  • The River School
  • The Field School 
  • Bishop John T. Walker School For Boys
  • Jewish Primary Day School of the Nation
  • Maret School 
  • Levine School of Music (3-hour delay)
  • Lowell School

WTOP reports that American University and Trinity Washington University will also be opening late. Georgetown University is open with "liberal leave" and a delay until 11 a.m. American University will also open at 11 a.m. and Trinity Washington University will open at noon.
