Free D.C. Veterans Day Concert Features A-List Celebrities
Celebrity performances and special appearances are expected Nov. 11.

Among the performers of the star-studded D.C. Veterans Day concert are Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, and Carrie Underwood.
The Concert For Valor will take place at the National Mall between the Capitol and the Washington Monument 7 p.m. Nov. 11. The event is hosted by Starbucks and HBO.
“We are honored to play a small role to help raise awareness and support for our service men and women. Their immeasurable sacrifice deserves our nation’s gratitude,” HBO Chairman and CEO Richard Plepler said.

There will be performances from Eminem, Metallica, Jamie Foxx, Dave Grohl, and Zac Brown Band as well. The free concert in honor of veterans and their families will include special appearances by Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Steven Spielberg, and John Oliver.
“The Concert For Valor represents a significant and historic opportunity to demonstrate our country’s potential to come together as a nation, and do right by those who have done so much for us. They’ve stepped up. Now it’s our turn,” Starbucks Chairman, President, and CEO Howard Schultz said.

The concert will air live on HBO for viewers to watch on TV. Ticket information for attendees is unavailable at this time.
