Full Lineup Announced for Georgetown Fashion Art Design Event

Georgetown's creative culture is celebrated at the annual event Saturday.

Georgetown’s most stylish annual event celebrates the creative culture Saturday!

From noon to 9 p.m., guests can attend the art happenings, musical events, and more along with promotions at over 40 Georgetown retailers.

There will be two screenings of the documentary Advanced Style, which features a street-style blog of the same name that highlights women and their views on fashion, getting older, and life.

The Fashion Art Design events include:

  • Live-Painting for Georgetown Gongoozlers Mural Project: 2 p.m. (3000 M Street NW)
  • Street-Style Photoshoot: 2 to 6 p.m. (outside of the AMC Loews Theatre, 3111 K Street NW)
  • DJ and Photo Booth Fun: 2 to 6 p.m. (Cady’s Alley and East Market)
  • Advanced Style Documentary Screening: 3 and 6 p.m. (AMC Loews Theatre)
  • Grammy-Nominated Hip-Hop Artist Christylez Bacon Performance: 6 to 6:30 p.m. (East Market)
  • Artist Ashley Vangemeren Performs: Throughout the day (various locations)
  • Canal Square Shopping: Hors d’oeuvres and wine provided
  • John Thornley Spins Records: Hill & Dale indie record shop
  • Circulator Ride: Up Wisconsin Avenue to Book Hill neighborhood
  • Food and Drink Specials: Several Georgetown restaurants including buy-one-get-one-free at Sprinkles and fashion-themed $5 drinks at Tony & Joe’s

Admission to all events are free with the exception of the documentary screening. Tickets for Advanced Style are available online for $18.
